Asking for help

These past few weeks have been rough. I will not lie I have fallen behind on my goals. I have not been sticking with them as much as I would like to. I want to find a way to fix that but I am not going to beat myself up about it because no body’s perfect and everybody makes mistakes.

To be perfectly honest watching what I eat is one of the hardest things of my goals. It can be hard to keep track of it all. I know for a fact that I need to eat more vegetables. I just honestly do not like them. I am going to start tracking what I am eating and actually logging it all in so I can see the nutritional values better. Also eventually I would like to not eat any meats other than fish and chicken because most over meats are really fatties and not the best for you but I am not ready to make that change yet.

Simple eating tips

The first step to every change in life is making a plan. For me writing down my goals are a good way to keep track of them.Not going to lie changing bad habits into good ones are difficult to do. If you think about it you are probably more likely to stick with something if it is easy and none time consuming. Eating good is a constant struggle for me especially sticking with it. I am going to share three ways that I try to eat right without the hassle.

  1. Drink water – I know that just about every fitness blog out there will tell you to drink more water but it really is important. Drinking water can lower your metabolism and stop you from being hungry. Sometimes when your body is dehydrated it will trick you that you are hungry when your body actually just wants water. That’s why whenever I feel hungry I drink a glass of water first.
  2. Drink your veggies- I know this might sound stupid but I hate vegetables so in the morning I usually drink a smoothie with some greens in it.Veggies are so important in a balanced diet. I also normally try to eat a salad a day and I normally through some chicken in there for protein. If you do like greens and you can eat them plain then that is great I personally can not.
  3. An apple a day keeps the doctor away- Fruit is good for you. I know you shouldn’t eat to much in one day but I probably do eat to much.Put down the potato chips and grab an apple. I always eat an apple when I come home from school. And for lunch I normally have an orange. I also put fruit in my smoothies in the morning. Eating fruit is honestly like a healthy version of cake.

100 days of Happiness

As many of you have probably already seen 100 days of happiness is a new trend on Instagram. It is were each day you post something that made you happy until you get to 100. I think this is a good way to become more emotionally happy with yourself. If you take the time to think of one thing that made happy each day the bad days may not seem so bad anymore. This is something that is very simple yet a very good way to become a much more emotionally happy person. Whether you are happy because a new job,an A on a paper, new friends or something as simple as going to your favorite restaurant this is a good way to acknowledge that. On my Instagram I have recently started this and I honestly think it will be really cool when I am done.
